Tommy's tool: Can we use any video hosting company for our own videos? e.g. Youtube or Wistia?
We recommend using AWS (Amazon Web Services) to store your mp4 videos. It is by far the easiest and most compatible platform with the tool.
Here is a short procedure to upload mp4 videos into AWS (Amazon Web Services) for use:
1. Signup for a free AWS account at - https://aws.amazon.com/free/
2. After signup choose the service S3 on the left side of the services dashboard.
3. Click create a BUCKET button on the top. Name the bucket however you want (e.g. MyWidgetVideos). The bucket is essentially a folder, like a folder on your PC.
4. Click UPLOAD to upload your video.
5. After upload -> Right Click on the file name, and choose ‘Make Public’.
6. Go to the right pan and choose Properties on the top, this will show you the uploaded video link.
7. Grab the video link and paste in your widget.
There is no file size limit on the video, although, we recommend that the videos be kept short to keep your visitors engaged.
